Congratulations 2009 Tournament Champions T-Ball - Marlins Rookie League - Reds Minor League - Red Sox Little League - Yankees What a way to end the season with a fun filled afternoon at the park enjoying the league picnic. It was great to see everyone & the canopy decorating contest was a big hit. Congratulations to the Rookie League A's for winning the "Best Decorated Canopy". Other honorable mentions were the Minor League Rangers & their cowboy theme, the Luau Theme tent & Patriotic themed tent. Everyone did a fabulous job, but there could only be 1 winner. It was great seeing the kids play with bubbles & squirt guns while others enjoyed corn hole & catching up on the seasons events. The food was great & thank you to everyone that provided side dishes, chips & desserts. We appreciate the volunteers that served the food as well as those men standing over the hot cooker in 90 degree heat preparing barbecue & hot dogs - Way to go Men! The Awards ceremony was memorable & how great it was to honor 2 original members of Gardenside Little League from 50 years ago. And a very special Thank You to Dana Alexander for coordinating the days events. Under her direction & guidance, the picnic was a huge success. THANK YOU DANA - You'll be missed by all!!!!! AUCTION RESULTS The Auction was a big success! With your help, we were able to raise $7,368.36 to add to our bank account. Thanks to all who helped, all who attended, and most of all, those who opened their wallets! Volunteer Information Parent volunteers are a huge part of the success of our league.
